Weight of homemade measures and portions of food of common preparations in Costa Rica


This publication presents, in a summarized form, part of the results of the report of the thesis of "Pesos of Homemade Measures and Portions of Foods and Common Preparations in Costa Rica" presented to opt for the title of Degree in Nutrition.

The work consisted of identifying information on weights of foods available in different institutions of the country and determining the weights of teaspoons, tablespoons, servings and cups of various foods and preparations. It is hoped that the information presented will be useful to the dietitian when conducting dietary studies at the level of the individual or groups of people.
