The Southern Caribbean of Costa Rica: Biodiversity, environmental status, protection and challenges of a region little studied
Description of the activity:
Scientific symposium to expose the biological riches of the Southern Caribbean of Costa Rica, the information gaps that exist, the environmental problems that are impacting the region, the state and private protection that exists and the future challenges to maintain the biodiversity of the region. This symposium is organized by the Center for Research in Marine Sciences and Limnology (CIMAR), Continuing Education Program of the School of Biology of the University of Costa Rica and the Association ANAI (www.anaicr.org).
National and foreign scientists and students, central, regional and local government officials, local communities of the Southern Caribbean, non-governmental organizations and private companies operating in the region, and the general public interested in the Southern Caribbean of Costa Rica.
Until March 31 the cost of registration will be 10,000 colones for students and 20,000 colones for professionals.
From April 1 through May 31, the cost will be 12,500 colones for students and 25,000 colones for professionals.
Registrations after May 31, up to the first day of the event will cost 15,000 colones for students and 30,000 colones for professionals.
* Registration fees cover attendance at all
presentations, a certificate of attendance and two coffee breaks with snacks
each day of the event.
